Orangetheory Fitness Clintonville is looking for a Studio Operator with a background in fitness to lead our team, grow our membership, and help our locally owned studio thrive.

This is more than a traditional Studio Manager or Head Coach position. It's an opportunity to take ownership of an entire fitness studio while staying connected to what you love: coaching, motivating people, and building meaningful relationships.

What You'll Do

Lead, Inspire & Develop Your Team

Provide daily leadership and direction to both Fitness Coaches and Sales Associates.
Recruit, onboard, mentor, and develop a strong, collaborative team.
Build a positive workplace culture grounded in communication, accountability, and shared success.
Manage staff scheduling, performance feedback, and professional development.
Empower employees to take ownership of their roles and contribute to studio success.

Grow Our Studio & Membership

Take an active leadership role in driving membership growth, revenue, and long-term studio success.
Develop and execute creative strategies to attract new members and introduce more people to Orangetheory.
Set and communicate studio sales, retention, and growth goals while motivating the team to achieve them.
Analyze membership trends, class attendance, conversion rates, and other performance indicators to identify opportunities.
Coach and support Sales Associates in creating excellent first-visit experiences, effective follow-up, and confident membership conversations.
Develop initiatives that increase member engagement, improve retention, and strengthen our studio community.
Bring fresh ideas, entrepreneurial thinking, and a solutions-oriented mindset to the business.

Build Community & Create Local Partnerships

Serve as a visible, enthusiastic ambassador for Orangetheory throughout Clintonville and the surrounding Columbus community.
Identify and develop relationships with local businesses, employers, community organizations, and neighborhood groups.
Organize and participate in outreach activities, pop-up events, fitness experiences, and community initiatives.
Collaborate with the team to develop creative marketing and social media content that reflects our studio's personality and strengthens local connections.
Turn community relationships into meaningful opportunities for new memberships and long-term growth.

Own the Studio Experience & Operations

Oversee daily studio operations, ensuring a welcoming, organized, safe, and high-performing environment.
Maintain consistent execution of Orangetheory systems, policies, and brand standards.
Ensure excellent member service and timely resolution of concerns.
Manage operational priorities, staffing, equipment maintenance, and studio readiness.
Take responsibility for the overall performance and success of the studio.

Coach, Connect & Motivate

Coach approximately 4–6 Orangetheory classes per week.
Deliver engaging, high-quality fitness experiences that motivate and inspire members.
Serve as a role model for coaching excellence, member engagement, and professionalism.
Mentor and support the coaching team in delivering consistently exceptional classes.
Build authentic relationships with members that encourage participation, loyalty, and connection.

Qualifications

Experience in fitness coaching, personal training, or boutique fitness.
Previous leadership, team management, or business development experience preferred.
Experience in sales, membership growth, community outreach, or relationship-based marketing is highly valued.
Nationally recognized fitness certification accepted by Orangetheory, or ability to obtain one before coaching.
CPR/AED certification, or ability to obtain before coaching.
Previous Orangetheory experience is a plus, but not required.

Compensation & Benefits

We believe great leadership deserves competitive compensation, meaningful incentives, and opportunities to grow.

Starting Leadership Salary: $36,000 annually.
Additional Coaching Pay: Separate compensation for Orangetheory classes coached. Class pay starts at $35 - $75 per class.
Monthly Studio Performance Bonuses: Opportunities to earn additional compensation based on membership growth, revenue, and studio performance.
Estimated Total Annual Compensation: $48,000–$55,000, depending on coaching assignments, class attendance, and studio performance.

In a 60-minute class, led by a highly trained and certified coach, members target at least twelve minutes in the Orange Zone to raise their heart rate and charge up metabolism.
